Mary Davis & Company provides music entertainment in configurations from duo to full-on 6-piece Top-40 dance/funk/party band. 2: We're not a single-genre band. We cover your favorite current and classic Rock, Folk, Blues, Motown, Beach, Jazz and Country songs with equal ease. You'd be hard-pressed to find another group in the area covering as wide a range of musical eras and genres, or pleasing as wide an audience...and having done it for as long or as often. 3: We are family-friendly, meaning, we're sensitive to lyric content and avoid performing music your parents or your children would be embarrassed to hear in front of you. (This is one of the things that make us highly desirable for wedding receptions.) 4: We're 100% analog...we actually *play* all the instruments you hear, with no reliance on midi or other electronically sequenced accompaniment of any kind. ** Attention restaurants and dinner clubs: our acoustic trio (our busiest configuration) can fit into a tight corner and keep the volume low enough to complement the dinner hour. We do this quite regularly in several fine establishments throughout Savannah year-round. Folks come to eat, and stay to listen. For private parties, wedding receptions and other events, we can scale up to a sizzling 4- 5- or 6-piece band that will get them up on their feet and keep them dancing all night. But we entered the music scene as a cover band playing local clubs first, and gained popularity there first. Our musicianship simply got folks' attention, and they began seeking us out for weddings and private parties. Between private events, we keep a pretty busy calendar of public shows as well. Orquesta Tradicion Latina was formed in 2005 in Atlanta, Georgia by Antonio Garcia. It was his ambition to have a Latin Orchestra that would entertain people who truly loves classic sulsa. True to his latin roots, this music would be the tradicional hot latin beat, combined with the traditional latin flavor, which is loved and known as "Salsa"!! Early 1990's, Antonio started his musical career as a percussionist, playing congas for his cousin’s band “Latin Express” out of Fort Worth, Texas. The repertoire included Latin Jazz, Rock, Salsa, and Tejano. After moving to Atlanta, Georgia in the summer of 1997, he played percussion with various Latin and Rock bands performing in restaurants and private parties. During this time, Antonio started to learn different styles of percussion by observing some of the best, such as Karl Perazzo and Raul Rikow of Carlos Santana band. Antoio’s idol Poncho Sanchez, was an inspiration to him as well. In the summer of 2001, he met two local musicians Rojelio Marquez, bass player, and Gustavo Effio, bongo player and singer. Over the next couple of years the three formed smaller bands that performed in local restaurants, festivals, and private parties. The combined musical talent of the three artists and innovativeness moved the group forward and evolved into what is known as "Orquesta Tradicion Latina" today! Tradicion Latina is a twelve piece orchestra with a repertoire that features Salsa, Merengue, Cumbias, Latin Jazz, Rock, and other creative styles. Trios and quartets are also available for smaller venues. They have played in large festivals, restaurants and private parties in Atlanta. In addition, they have opened for latin groups such as: Grupo Niche, Ismael Miranda, Tito Rojas, Fruko, Sonora Carrucel and have performed on stage with latin artists La India, and Orquesta Guayacan The different rhythms created by this group is nothing less than “Hot Salsa” with the true "Tradicion Latin Flavor" at its finest! ROCK'O is a professional singer/songwriter and guitarist who spent the last 20 + years working in the music industry. He has been involved with such artist’s as Jon Bon Jovi, members of Styx, Aldo Nova, and the Hooters as well as many noted producers and managers. His background encompasses recording session work, writing/publishing and live performing. Originally from New Jersey, ROCK'O spent his early years playing and honing his skills in the legendary clubs of Manhattan and the Jersey Shore. He performed at such legendary venues as the CAT CLUB, the BITTER END, the STONE PONY and the FAST LANE. He has also lived and recorded in Nashville Tennessee and appeared at such famous hot spots as the BLUE BIRD CAFE. Currently ROCK'O calls Georgia home. He performs weekly in the Atlanta area. ROCK'O also performs world wide at various resorts, casinos, corporate functions and onboard cruise ships. ROCK'O is available for your next event.
