As a saxophonist I am available to perform in a quartet, duo or quintet setting. I have performed and with several jazz groups and classical ensembles at restaurants, clubs, weddings, ceremonies, private parties, retirement centers, hotels, art galleries, special events and other functions.
Djembes and Jazz is a percussion ensemble including spoken word artist, jazz vocalist and modern dancers. This combination of artist produce a kaleidoscope of spoken word and jazz voice compilations. We incorporate traditional West African rhythms into jazz favorites such as Take Five, Night in Tunisia, Blue Ronda A La Turk and many more. Brother Will, the founder of this group, started playing drums at the age on nine. Djembes and Jazz is a celebration of our ancestral background and their influences are heard in the music. Some of our recent performances include Miami Book Fair International 2005(Miami Fl) Jazz in the Park-Miami Fl/Feb 2006.
