About Us:

CHRIS THOMPSON & CORAL CREEK put on a high-energy acoustic/electric show, featuring original material in the rock, reggae, country and bluegrass genres, plus great covers from The Grateful Dead, The Band, Bob Dylan, Peter Rowan, Jimmy Cliff and others - including unique renditions of traditional bluegrass tunes and rock classics. With the release of his new record "THE ROAD AHEAD" (produced by Bill Nershi), Chris has assembled a talented group of musicians to help showcase the new original material while beefing-up his live performance sound. The CORAL CREEK line-up includes top players from the Colorado music scene, including Chris Thompson on guitar, Jim Allard on bass, RT Weber on drums, Stef Briggs on keyboard, Kyle Stercik on saxophone. Members of Coral Creek have been honored to perform with distinguished musicians including Bob Weir, Vince Welnick and Tom Constantin (Grateful Dead), Melvin Seals (Jerry Garcia Band), Bill Nershi and Keith Moseley (The String Cheese Incident), Buddy Cage (New Riders of the Purple Sage), Rob Eaton (Dark Star Orchestra), Jeff Pevar (Bonnie Raitt, Ray Charles, CSN), Rob Wasserman and other great players. Originally from Rochester, MN, Chris Thompson has lived and performed in Mexico, Europe, Southern Africa, the Caribbean and most of the US. In 2001, Chris settled down in Colorado, planted roots and started writing and recording his unique flavor of acoustic fusion music. CHRIS THOMPSON & CORAL CREEK have been playing across the Colorado Front Range and US Virgin Islands since 2003. www.coralcreek.net
