About Us:

Over the course of the past century, music has been enriched by the talents of many wonderful musicians and songwriters. This wealth of creativity has delivered such an overwhelming quantity of material that we are forced to qualify the sounds into categories that enable the listener to define the listening experience. As musicians looking to expose our finesse while realizing the need for order, we choose to celebrate life with the richness and freedom of Jazz and the syncopation of Funk. FUNK SHUI, pronounced Funk Shway, was founded in 2001 in Denver, Colorado by Andreas Taber (guitars/vocals).

About Us:

Sine Qua Non is a Latin term for "without which it could not be"...For us, music without hope and sincerity, life without profound expression, art without substance, songs without someone to share them with are the tensions that fill in the space between notes and lines on pages. Often compared to artists such as Explosions in The Sky and Radiohead we are simply and profoundly thankful that our music can be shared with friends. The explosions inside each our hearts truly are beautiful as they remind us we are alive. We will be recording our first full length album this year in Santa Cruz, CA-hopefully before wetsuits are essential in the surf town. We'll be on tour with Edison Gale, In The Dark We Talk, Deep Sleep Vison, and Pompeii this summer in Colorado and Texas. We'd love to see you and get to know you at one of our shows...check the calendar. Here's to all of you that have stood next to us through the beautiful years together. What a radient gift we hold in tiny hands together!

About Us:

This group of musicians formed in the fall of 2001. Each member brings an eclectic mix of musical experiences and history. Developing a unique style by playing in and soaking up influences from Denver's various musical scenes. From these varied backgrounds comes a combined musical effort that hints of blues, swing, and rock 'n roll, spiced with hints of Latin, 50's pop, big band jump jazz, and even "countrified" music. It's a mix of styles that immediately feels familiar, yet comes only from RAZ - It's American music. RAZ finds a wide range of appeal from younger to older listeners: from blues, rock-a-billy, bee-bop and twist crowds to swing-dance and country crowds. The dance beat is infectious, while the humorous, romantic and serious lyrics keep the listener curious. Song lists include RAZ's original tunes intermingled with new and old favorites, from "Mack the Knife" and "Brown Eyed Girl", to ?Sharp Dressed Man? and ?Call Me the Breeze?. All members of RAZ enjoy jammin' together and with their audience. They're not satisfied unless the audience can't help but "shake it". RAZ was featured the entire month of February 2004 on the TV program ?Denver?s Heartbeat? filmed at The HardRock Caf? in Downtown Denver. RAZ also appeared in the Rocky Mountain News? ?Local Noise? as the feartured Artist. RAZ?s music can be heard on 99.5FM ?The Mountain?. RAZ was featured on the Denver Channel Seven Early Morning News and has performed at benefits for the American Cancer Society and Colorado Victim Advocate Fund. Recently RAZ could be found at such places as the Arvada Gold Strike Festival, Longmont?s ArtWalk Festival and The Westword Music Showcase at Six Flags Elitch Gardens, Littletons Summerset Fest, Little Bear in Evergreen & The Buffalo Rose. RAZ takes pride in being versatile enough to successfully perform at music clubs, coffeehouses, sports bars, business holiday parties, private parties and family celebrations. RAZ is currently working on their 4th CD, Ain't Got Time To Make It Right, to be released in January 2006.
