Of the multitudes of tribute bands that perform in clubs, casinos, weddings, corporate and private events, there are very few that truly provide a full package of entertainment. “80 Degrees” is one of the few bands in the country that offers more than just a band playing music. In addition to this thematic era of music, they have put together a complete show including choreography, multiple costume changes, characterizations, comedy, trivia, games, video presentation, hi-tech lighting and effects. Today, the music of the 80's has gained high popularity as it highlights a variety of styles including New Wave, R&B, Disco, Heavy Metal, etc. From this popularity, sprung a lot of 80's themed cover bands that usually only specialize in one or two areas of styles. The “80 Degrees” band has made it a point to perform all the styles of music in the show from R&B/Pop artists such as Prince, Michael Jackson and Madonna to the New Wave sounds of groups such as Depeche Mode and Oingo Biongo to Heavy Metal big hair bands like Guns and Roses and Bon Jovi. In most cases a band will have only one lead singer/front person. In addition to capturing all the styles of music from this era, the members of the band all sing, dance and perform which adds even more versatility and variety to the show. The “80 Degrees” band members also provide characterizations or likeness of the actual artists, being amazing impersonators in their own right for prestigious events and celebrity parties. With most bands you get just the music, which of course is the most important! However, with “80 Degrees”, it has been our vision to bring another dynamic to the table that really helps the audience recapture and relive the incredible 80's era. We do this with some jokes and comedy as well as trivia and games to have the audience actually interact with the band. If you ask what the one thing is that really sets us apart from other bands, the answer would be our high energy level on stage with constant movement and interaction with the audience. This not only shows that each member of the band really enjoys what they do, but more importantly, keeps the audience enthusiasm at its peak!
