About US
About Us:

Austin, TX-based alt-pop band 3 KISSES has played over 100 shows since their inception in January 2004 and they have performed for close to 100,000 people. In addition to their regular tour schedule, 3 KISSES supports breast cancer research by performing at Susan G. Komen Races and Relay for Life events in Texas and donating a portion of their CD sales to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and the American Cancer Society. Tish Meeks, who lost her mother to breast cancer in 1989 supports the cause with the music of 3 KISSES and her original story, Legacy, appeared in Jack Canfield & Mark Victor Hansen's Chicken Soup for the Recovering Soul in December 2004. 3 KISSES music is an idiosyncratic combination of alternative, pop, rock and punk filled with catchy guitar hooks and introspective lyrics. The heartfelt vocals and light-hearted songs of 3 KISSES' earnest, tuneful and vibrant alt-pop vastly appeal to fans of the genre. Tumultuous lyrics delivered in a contradictory, bubbly, upbeat fashion has become a 3 KISSES trademark. Tish's unbridled energy and interaction with guitar player Tony Meeks, drummer Josh Tallerine and with the audience, invites the crowd to be a part of the 3 KISSES experience. Martin Folkman, Publisher of the Musician's Atlas writes, '3 KISSES is fronted by the kinetic Tish Meeks who no guitar, mic stand or stage can contain. [The band] wasted no time winning the crowd over to their infectious songs and spontaneous performance.' From the driving rock-funk of 'Yellow' to the 70's psychedelic tone of 'Come Along' and from the pop-punk of 'Out of Control' to the melodic yearning of 'Complete' 3 KISSES encompasses the spectrum. Says Jay King, VP of Classic R&B, Thump/Universal, 'Great songwriting ' catchy, poppy songs. An excellent mix of yesterday and today.' Inspired by a wide variety of artists such as Blondie, The Sundays, Green Day, Tom Petty, Social Distortion, Brian Wilson, The Beatles, Fountains of Wayne, The Eels, Alison Krauss, Gwen Stefani, Freddie King, The Police, Tears for Fears, The Cranberries, Andrew WK, Lillix, White Stripes, Neal McCoy, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Joan Jett, Pat Benetar and more, this diverse band is out to show you a good time! 3 KISSES has been featured on the FOX 7 Morning Show in Austin, TX, Fokker Radio, Indie Artist Radio, Indie-Music.com, Rockland World Radio, Female Musician Magazine, One Way Magazine. Wings charted up to #4 on the CMJ charts and is currently in rotation at hundreds of college radio stations across the country. The band premiered their video Yellow in September 2004. Recent performances include two showcases at SXSW in Austin, a showcase at the Millennium Music Conference in Harrisburg, PA and showcases at Garage Stock 2005 in Salem, MO, the Independent Music Conference in Philadelphia, PA and Dewey Beach Music Conference in Dewey Beach, DE.
