Martin Lane is a high-energy, acoustic duo, comprised of Nashville recording artist & singer songwriter, Laura Lane, and Nashville producer, musician & singer songwriter, Chip Martin. Our cover songs span multiple decades and genres while we specialize in classic rock and 90’s country. With over 500 songs in our repertoire, we can play anything from laid back dinner music to sing along songs and dance tunes!
Although originally based out of Nashville, TN, we have been traveling extensively over the past few years. We have played a vast variety of events including festivals, Clermont, Florida’s Christmas tree lighting and corporate events. Chip is a lifelong musician and has toured with multiple bands including Orleans (“Still the One” and “Dance with Me.”)

Kevin Weldon mesmorizes his audiences! Kevin Blake Weldon, born and raised in Lufkin, Texas, began his career in country music in 1990, three years after he ?discovered? his voice in a recording studio at Astroworld theme park in Houston, Texas! ?Everyone who heard the song I recorded at Astroworld, couldn?t believe it was me! My friends and family never dreamed that I liked to sing, must less that I COULD sing.? After almost three years of developing his voice and style by performing to music tracks in clubs and bars all over Southeast Texas, Kevin put together his first band ? ?Blake Weldon and the Texas Firewater!? Their first performance together was an appearance on ?Hot Country Trax,? a Country Music program which aired every Sunday night on KPRC Channel 2 in Houston. With the exposure from that performance, ?Blake Weldon and Texas Firewater? began working throughout the Houston area and were soon opening for several major acts. With his popularity rising, Kevin and his band (by this time known as Texas Fire) entered the Coors Light Texas Music/93Q Battle of the Bands. By Summer?s end they beat over 50 of Houston?s best bands to win the title! Kevin recalls, ?The show we put on for the Battle of the Bands finals was one of the best performances I?ve ever had! Everything just came together for us that night and it was almost magical. I knew that night that I would eventually get a major record deal.? And that?s just what happened. A few months later, several record producers from Nashville were scouting Kevin, one of which was Chuck Howard. Kevin made several trips to Nashville to develop his studio voice and songwriting talent, and was soon paired with a young man from Temple, Texas named Brian Gowan. Under the guidance of Chuck and Mike Curb, head of Curb Records, the duo ?Blake and Brian? was formed and signed to Curb Records. Over the next 3 1/2 years, the new duo released two top 40 hits (?Another Perfect Day? and ?The Wish?), a number one hit in Europe (?Amnesia?), had music videos on CMT, GAC, and TNN, were featured on several national television appearances, and toured and opened shows for many of today?s hottest stars including Lonestar, Lee Ann Rimes, Joe Diffie, Tracy Bird, Patty Loveless, Jo Dee Messina, Trace Adkins, Wynonna and many more! In February of 1999, after careful consideration and soul searching, the duo parted ways to pursue solo careers! Kevin returned home to Lufkin, Texas to be close to his two beautiful daughters and to record his first solo CD ?HOLD ON.? With 8 songs on the CD written or co-written by Kevin, ?HOLD ON? yielded a top 20 hit on the Texas Music Chart (?Here Goes?). After receiving positive response to the CD, Kevin packed up and headed back to Nashville to pursue his solo career. Kevin is currently writing new songs and playing regularly in Nashville. Under the guidance of new management (Debra Fox, President of Image Development Group in St. Louis, Missouri) he is back on the road performing, promoting his CD, meeting and building his fan base and considering his options for the next record label opportunity. The love of music has always been in the heart of Dewayne Petty a.k.a "Pettidee". When you hear the name Pettidee, know that it equals raw, hard hitting music filled with encouragement and inspiration. "When it comes to music, producing is my first love", and you can surely tell by his detailed tracks. Dewayne Petty changed the world in 1973, born in Tallahassee, FL and raised in Jacksonville, FL. He certainly knew what it meant when you say the words 'dysfunctional childhood". He's been through it all, from physical and sexual abuse to life in the streets as a hustler. He then found an outlet through music, and in 1988 "Pettidee" was born. From just making amateur loops on his boom box to the excellence you hear today. Pettidee accepted the call on his life and through God, did a 180 degree. He didn't just sit on his gift he acted quickly. He talks to the youth at juvenile shelters and inmates in prison with his life story and something he calls "the truth". He tell upcoming artists, "In this industry, talent comes a dime a dozen. There are MC's that can rap circles around me, but can you contribute good things to the youth' Can you serve', can you take the fact that this is 10% music and 90% how you live'". Being in the industry for over 10 years, he's learned a lot and still learning, with the support of his wife and two kids. Since he made his undying commitment to his creator, he's become a vocal tool that's not just sitting in the toolbox. Everyday Pettidee's career accelerates beyond measure due to his love for music, creativity in producing and his intense desire to show the youth the traps set out for their lives.
