The House of Bishops are THE funky blues and zydeco band in St. Louis. We play creole rock and some oldies. We do a lot of our own arrangements and love to play fesitvals, receptions, parties. We bring a lot to a party and have a great time.
The Highest Priest was formed in 2005 in Greene County, MO. Over the past three years The Highest Priest has gone through extensive line-up changes and formed their own record label known as Greene County Productions, Inc (G.C.P.). They have been defining their own style by mixing the angst of their metal past and fusing it with a clubbish hip-hop feel to form the unique sound they have coined as Rawcore. They have an intellectual twist on the topic of marijuana and pro- legalization and they use this to spread awareness about the cause. From before the first note, The Highest Priest will completely capture the audience with a unique sound that keeps the crowd coming back for more. The unique vocal presence of The Highest Priest and The Dead Priest aka Slow to create a sound original to the mid-west. The James Boys offer an electric and eclectic blend of musical styles reflective of their wide roots and live performances. From "Roots Rock", as they call it, to R&B, Blues, to Reggae influences, Jazz influences, Pop and even Country - The James Boys always maintain a common denominator throughout their music: a passionate and often humorous take on life manifesting in rhythmic grooves, "hookish" lyrics and attractive melodies throughout. The James Boys show is ideally a two hour, no break, concert/dance although they will play as long as three hours with a break. Audience participation is always encouraged at a James Boys event.
