About Us:

Lilli Lewis grew up on a dirt road outside of Athens, Georgia. There, in between playing in her father's garden and going on scavenger hunts, Lilli developed a passion for classical piano. By the early age of 3, Lilli was giving frequent silent "air" piano performances (until the family acquired a piano) and composing songs that had to be transcribed by her mother's hand. Largely self-taught, she became an accomplished student of classical piano and vocal performance but found herself just as enthralled by her hometown's famous musical anti-elite. She credits their independent spirit for placing her on the path to finding her own voice. Names like Alice Coltrane and Cassandra Wilson have been conjured when trying to capture the sound of her debut LP, "The Coming of John." But perhaps the most accurate description may have been coined by poetess Kemi Bennings with "operatic, r and b, folk songbird." Lewis herself maintains her only goal is "to make music that makes sense to me." She does so with an elegant poise that has left her called an "innovative, soulful" singer and composer. As she sings, her versatile voice shows itself in one moment a pure and longing stratospheric pianissimo, the next a low and earthy rumble, dancing across her range with arresting beauty and ease. A two-time 1st place winner in the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) vocal competition, Lewis actively performs in every idiom including classical, jazz, folk, gospel and soul. Lewis has recorded with Laszlo Gardony, John Lockwood, Mark Shilansky, Jerome Duepree & Blake Newman. Bands have included Coriander, The Reverend and ETQ (www.elevatethequest.com) and in 2001 she composed the score for the award-winning documentary "NINE." Her ensemble, The Lilli Lewis Project, which features Lewis on piano and vocals, is augmented by award winning clarinetist and composer Todd Brunel who unfailingly presents "tremendous virtuosity and heart" (Eileen Pfeiffer, Boston Globe). www.clarinetconspiracy.com. Some of her other favorite collaborators include Kemi Bennings, Regie Gibson, Sandi Hammond, Mark Nathanson, PhoenixYZ, Eric Thomas and Patrice Williamson. When she's not travelling, Lilli resides in Atlanta, GA where she performs both as a solo artist and as a keyboardist for ETQ.

About Us:

Since the beginning Tony and Jason were Junior high school buds. They would get together to jam with friends. Then after High school they lost touch for a few years. Tony got together with some guys from church, but needed a drummer so he contacted Jason to join what would be Soul Mission. After a few years, due to the singer moving and the lack of commitment the band broke up. Tony and Jason then put out flyers and tried a number of singers and guitar players, but nothing seem to fall into place. Jason had mentioned to Tony about a really awesome singer, but didn't know how to get in touch with him Finally they gave it over to God. If God wanted this to happen, it would be in his time. They waited patiently.. Then one Sunday morning as they were playing with the church praise and worship team, in walks Tommy and his wife. After church Tony ran after Tommy to introduce himself, but Tommy was to quick.(Ha Ha) The next day Tony ran into Tommy at the gym. Hummmm ....Same gym, Same week! It was a God thing. God was putting the pieces together. From the first time they played together they all knew this was "River Jordan"

About Us:

Corey Ledet was born and raised in Houston, Texas, but spent his summers with family in small-town Parks, Louisiana. The Creole culture has its roots in Louisiana, but spread across the country, including neighboring Texas. Because of this, he was able to be immersed at all times in the Creole culture he loved so much. The summers in the family home molded and shaped Corey's world in a profound way. He learned everything he could so that he could incorporate the culture in all areas of his life - the traditions, the food, and most importantly, the music. His love for the Creole/Zydeco music was instant and hard for him to ignore. He studied the originators of the music such as Clifton Chenier, John Delafose, and Boozoo Chavis. He branched out to include studying any (and all) artists of Zydeco. At the early age of 10, he picked up shows playing drums for Houston Zydeco bands and slowly learned the main instrument of the music - the accordion. He came to truly love any type of accordion - the single-note, triple-note and piano key accordions - and any others. He worked at building his skills until he knew each one fluently. By the time he graduated from high school, he was certain that music was the focal point of his future. Corey eventually moved to Louisiana in order to be surrounded by this beautiful culture at all times. He remains true to his roots and earnestly searches for ways to include them in his music. He keeps one foot firmly in the tradition while exploring surrounding influences in order to create the best of both worlds. He is able to infuse old and new styles of Zydeco into his own unique sound from all of the people he studied and was influenced by. He also appreciates the other traditional sound indigenous to Louisiana in Cajun music and has been able to expand his repertoire to include these influences as well. Corey's versatile sound enables him to please any audience. Whether he is playing a solo acoustical set or he is backed up by a full band, you as a listener will always be thoroughly entertained. He finds joy in giving his listeners a true dance/music experience in the ways of old-time house parties. So, come and enjoy the music of old presented in a new way but still very tied to tradition. He looks forward to entertaining you!
