Orquesta Bravo! is Indianapolis' newest and hottest salsa band composed of eleven of Indianapolis' finest and most talented musicians. Voted 'Best of Indy' by Indianapolis Monthly Magazine. Orquesta Bravo! plays classic New York and 70's salsa music, influenced by the sounds of salsa greats like Oscar D'Leon, Celia Cruz, Hector Lavoe and others. Stacie Sandoval is the lead vocalist and founder of Orquesta Bravo! which is Indianapolis' hottest salsa band composed of Indianapolis' finest and most talented musicians. Voted 'Best of Indy' by Indianapolis Monthly Magazine and Top Favorite Bands by Indy Men’s Magazine. Orquesta Bravo! has the big band Latin sound and plays classic New York and 70's salsa music, influenced by the sounds of salsa greats like Oscar D'Leon, Celia Cruz, Hector Lavoe and others, as well as some merengue, bachata, cha-chas, and boleros. Stacie also co-founded the Stacie Sandoval Tropical Jazztet which focuses on classic jazz standards, along with latin favorites in the styles of bolero/ballads, cha cha cha, bossa nova, and salsa, and the Trio ConPaz which focuses on tropical music. Stacie arrived in Indianapolis in September 2002 from Los Angeles, California and began Orquesta Bravo! in 2005. Singing has taken her to many different locations including Switzerland, where she participated in A Night of Broadway, which featured several talented Broadway actors, including Ute Lemper. Stacie started focusing on salsa music in 1998 and performed with national acts such as Kevin Ceballo, Michael Stuart, Johnny Rivera, Frankie Negron, and Eddie Santiago. Stacie also sang with local Los Angeles salsa bands, Rudy Regalado y Orquesta Chevere, Yari More, La Palabra, Macondo, and Mazacote, and Cincinnati bands Son Del Caribe and Salsa Caliente. Dave Blickenstaff is the saxophonist for Orquesta Bravo! Dave has performed with national acts such as the Temptations, the Four Tops, and Diane Schuur. Regionally, he has played with the Von Ohlen-Allee Big Band, the Blue Wisp Big Band, and the Buselli Wallarab Jazz Orchestra. He has also performed with the Midcoast Swing Orchestra, Harold Cardwell, Jeff Deherdt, the Cool Chilies, and the Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra. His twenty-plus years of professional experience includes festival, touring, club, musical theatre, private, industrial, symphonic, recording, and cruise ship venues. His introduction to Latin and Salsa music was with Jorge Alvarez and Orquesta Novasound in Atlanta. Gary Grazziano plays lead trumpet for Orquesta Bravo! Andre Rosa-Artis is one of the percussionists for Orquesta Bravo! He specializes in Cuban and West African hand drumming. He has studied in Cuba and Africa, and has played with Afro Cuba de Matanzas, Sancocho, and the National Dance Ensemble of Ghana. Jesse Witmann is a bassist, composer, and educator in the Indianapolis area. A recent graduate from Indiana University, School of Music he has studied bass performance with Bruce Bransby, Rufus Reid, and Robert Bowman. He has performed in the 30th Annual North Sea Jazz Fest in the Hague, the Netherlands and has played with Grammy award winner David Sanchez. As well as being a Down Beat Magazine award winner he is also the winner of the I.U. School of Music Annual Latin American Music Competition. He is now living in indianapolis working as a freelance musician and educator. Isaac Salazar is the piano player for Orquesta Bravo! Con una amplia y variada experiencia dentro del ambito musical tocando ritmos tradicionales como: Calipso, Soka, Son Nica ( Música Folklorica Nicaraguense ) y música Latina: Salsa, Cha-Cha-Cha, Boleros, etc. Como pianista se ha presentado con grupos musicales como: "Los de la Calle", "Son Tropical", "Orquesta Juvenil Naranjo", "Sol y Son" y en el presente pianista de "Orquesta Bravo". Other pianists who play with us are Ken Fary and Eugenio Urrutia. Raul Padro Raul has been a musician for 34 years. The trapset is his primary instrument but he also plays Afro-Cuban, Afro-Brazilian, and West African percussion. He has played with Mariano Morales, Tito Puente, Andrew Lázaro, Orlando Cotto, Patato Valdez, Duduka Fonseca, Livingston Taylor, The Gifts Soul Revue, Dan Hanley Band, After 5 Show Band, Speak Easy, Ebony Rhythm Funk Campaign, Moments Notice, Luis Padro, Afro Cuba de Matanzas, Alfonso Llorens y Su Dinámica, Ñoño, Reynaldo Gonzalez, Ron Brinson, Invisible Art, Cathy Morris & her Brazilian Lounge Band, Prince Julius Adeniyi, and still plays with Sancocho Music & Dance Collage and the Orí Quintet. Omar Ruiz-Oliver is one of the percussionists for Orquesta Bravo! He specializes in Afro-Cuban, Brazilian and West-African Percussion. He has performed with groups such as Ana Shango Ire Tambor Folklorico, San Jose Latin Jazz Ensemble, Charanga Nueve, IU Latin American Ensemble, Mojai, Marcos Calvacante, Janiece Jaffe, Steve Houghton Quintet, the David Baker Jazz Band and Mariano Morales. He is the Director of the Hand Drumming and Steel Band Ensemble at Indiana University in Bloomington. Elizabeth Souza was born in Los Angeles, California, to Brazilian parents and lived in Brazil from 5 till 14 years old. Then again from 1988 till 1990, also 1996 for 1 year. She is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. She earned her B.A. in Vocal Performance 1997 from Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland and studied Piano for over 15 years. She has been a language (English, Spanish, Portuguese) instructor since 1989 to children and adults, elementary school (Brazil and US), Berlitz (Sao Paulo), The Language Training Center (Indy), and privately. She has been a piano teacher since 1992 and a voice teacher since 1995. She has recorded four Christian music CD in 1994, 1997, 2000 and 2001 in Portuguese and Spanish. She was awarded a WAMMY in 1995 for best Latin singer in the Washington DC metropolitan area. She toured promoting CD’s in South America, mainly Brazil, and parts of the US between 1989 until 2002. She also released a Spanish Lullabies CD in January 2005. She has been involved in professional recording since 1976, and while in Indianapolis has participated in recordings for Music Publishers at AIRE BORN studios, Ripple FX, ASA, and Jingles (Meijer commercials in Spanish and others). She has been certified and licensed by Kindermusik since December 2002. She has been a member of IMTA (Indiana Music Teachers Association Inc.) and MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) since 2002. She was the lead singer of URBANOS, cuban-latin-jazz band from 2001 to 2004, and lead singer of IPANEMA, a Brazilian-latin-jazz band since July 2003. Other musicians that play with us are Juan Leigh (lead vocals), Dave Dickey (TBN), Al Shikaly (sax), Armando Perez Jr (sax), Jeff Anderson (TPT), Rich Dole (TBN), Jason Miller (TBN), and Ethan James (bass).

About Us:

JUSTUSBAND out of Hammond, Indiana right outside of Chicago. Five members bass, lead, drum, keys, sax everyone sings and plays. I guess the best way that I can say this, is that we are a singing group that plays. We play Old School Soul, Blues, Rock, Jazz, funk. We have been headliner at the Majestic Star Casino in Gary Indiana for the pass two years along with playing black and white balls all over Northwest Indiana. It has been said that if you see our show and don't here something you like you have been dead for 20 years.

Josh Mahoney & Second Chance Band Established in the spring of 2005, only two original band members exist, that is Josh Mahoney, Lead Vocals and Andy Frantz, Lead Guitar. Newest members are Wes Moore-Bass and Mike Carson-drums. All members are vocalists. Past shows have included Verizon Wireless Music Center, Hank Fm's Sky Concert, Just a Little East Night Club, and many other local bars/pubs in central Indiana. Leaving most shows with standing room only, they continue to please their audiences of all ages and build their own following.
