The Back Alley Blues Band is a blues-based band based in Tampa Bay, Florida since 1996. The band is a 4-piece that is capable of covering a wide range of blues styles, from smooth, jazzy Texas style to funky New Orleans, and hard Chicago-style, with an added flavoring of 60's R&B and Rockabilly. The music, no matter which style, is very danceable, as well as listenable. We are a band that is capable (and has done) of playing everything from a quiet dinner set for a restaurant, to a full festival concert set. Back Alley Blues Band lineup Don Cox-Bass, Vocals Don started playing in his native Virginia, where he played with the Home Cooking Band, amongst many others.Since moving to Florida, Don has played with many local bands, including Ed Wright, The Stingrays, and Tom Bell and the Bellacasters.

As a saxophonist I am available to perform in a quartet, duo or quintet setting. I have performed and with several jazz groups and classical ensembles at restaurants, clubs, weddings, ceremonies, private parties, retirement centers, hotels, art galleries, special events and other functions.
