Brooklyn James, Austin-based Author/Singer/Songwriter, and guitarist, John Hudson have played acoustic sets together for that past 3-years. Some of their venues include Stone House Vineyard, Mesa Ranch, Saxon Pub, Flat Creek Estate Vineyard, The Salt Lick, Austin Acoustical Cafe, Austin Bergstrom International Airport, Festa Italiana-Chicago, Austin's Televised Public Forum, Gibson Bar, Private Parties and Weddings. John and Brooklyn are regulars in the Austin music scene, gigging weekly.
Brooklyn James is author to three novels, one an Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award Quarter Finalist. This book has an original music soundtrack, all songs written/co-written and performed by Brooklyn. Track 4, Can't Get It Right, was chosen by MEOW Magazine as one of the Top 15 2012 Discoveries for female singer/songwriters. Track 2, Moving On, was chosen as one of JANGO radio's Top 10 Songs of Summer. Brooklyn has an M.A. in Communication and two Bachelor's in Nursing and Animal Science. She is currently working on another book and music soundtrack compilation.
John Hudson, a graduate of UT's Radio & Film Production Program, has played in multiple bands in the Austin area over the past 20-years. Self-taught and a left-handed guitarist, John's signature style (he does not restring...simply turns the guitar over) adds a unique sound to the set, giving the music a richer tone.
