Video Uploads are now available!


We have now added a video upload section for bands to show some of there past live music events.

Next up:
- Site layout: This will include front-end improvements and wider cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Advanced Band Searches: To make it easier to find the band you want with more specific search results.
- Forums: A bulletin board will be added to allow classifieds, band commentaries by past clients, and more...

Media Updates!


We have updated the upload music and picture upload sections of the site.

Pictures:
- Additional file formats (.jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .png)
- Additional picture section (these are displayed on the band pages)
- You can now delete them.
- Multiple Uploads (You can now upload them all at the same time)

Music:
- Additional file formats (.wma, .mp3)
- Increased song limit (up to 5 now)
- Multiple Uploads (You can now upload them all at the same time)

Safari Browser Upload Problems


For those of you using Safari, we have had issues with certain versions that prevent a person from uploading media such as pictures or videos.

This is a Safari bug that needs to be resolved by the development team.

If you experience this problem, try using another browser, such as Firefox.

Site Slow..

Site Updates


Some of you may have noticed that certain features of bookaband.com and its sister sites are being updated or are unavailable. There is good reason.

We are diligently working to prepare the these sites for there new features.

The first one coming up will be an automated PayPal System to allow Bands to automatically subscribe to the site with the option of selecting different advertising features. This should be arriving by the end of the week.

Scheduled Down Time


To improve site functionality the server will be moved at 10:00PM PST (GMT - 8), two weeks from today, Friday, November 30th 2007.

During this time, the following sites will be unreachable:
- bookaband.com
- bookabanddirect.com
- bookadjdirect.com

This should take anywhere from 8 - 24 hours to complete. Measures will be taken to keep downtime to a minimum.
